Requirements – you must have:
- An undergraduate degree, graduate degree or Community College diploma in Business/Social Services /Human Services/Education or relevant field of study and a minimum of three years’ experience in a related Business/Social Services /Human Services/Education or relevant sector.
- Flexibility to work hours to accommodate clients’ needs which may result in overtime.
- Must be able to provide in-person and some virtual services in Stratford, Huron Perth and Bruce Grey counties. Redeployment to the outside of Stratford, Huron and Perth counties as needed.
- A reliable vehicle with insurance coverage for business travel is essential for outreach service throughout Stratford, Huron, Perth and Bruce Grey counties.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- A current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check is required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Bilingual in French or other languages would be an asset.
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset and may be required, as applicable per program requirements.

Employment Specialist Assistant (Co-op)

Requirements – you must have:
- Currently enrolled in a business, social services, or related post-secondary program and eligible for a co-op/work-integrated learning(WIL) placement;
- One year of related experience in a business, social services, sales, or educational setting;
- Reliable transportation to provide services in London and surrounding county areas;
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution and people management skills;
- Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, family members, and the general public;
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability;
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts;
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills;
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening Criminal Reference Check;
Bilingual in French or other languages is an asset.
Please note: This position is funded by the Government of Canada's Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). Applicants must meet the program's eligibility requirements, including enrollment in a Canadian post-secondary institution, participation in an eligible co-op or work-integrated learning placement, and Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or protected person status with legal authorization to work in Canada. International students are not eligible for the program.
The contract will be 16 weeks in length (35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $21.00). The start and end dates fall between September and December 2026. The role is predominantly in-person at Leads’ London office.

Employment Specialist Assistants also advise employers on human resource issues, job accommodation matters, and pre-select candidates for interviews.
