Critical and mandatory elements of this position:
- MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE AFTER-SCHOOL HOURS AND WEEKEND SERVICES
- Skills Development: Individual skills planning; facilitate workshops, develop modules, train and teach, experiential (work to learn) sessions
- Civic Placement Development and Retention: Placement planning, placement development with and for youth, develop relationships with not-for-profit employers, secure placements, and assist the youth mentor to support youth mentees to retain them (job coaching as required). Strong marketing skills and train the trainer skills are required
- Understanding of funding legislation, rules and procedures of the service, and the necessity to meet contractual targets set forth across service targets
- Must be able to collect and compile data for tracking, assessment, and reporting
- Capitalize on internal services offered at LEADS to support the clients
- Well informed of external services in the communities that can be activated to support the client’s needs
- Flexibility to work hours to accommodate client’s needs which may result in overtime
- A reliable vehicle with insurance coverage for business travel is essential at all times for outreach service in London and surrounding county areas. The Youth Coach positions are multi-faceted and involve support and follow-up to clients and placement employers throughout the catchment area which often does not have public transport. Travel to these areas may be on a daily basis and often involves short notice.
- A valid driver’s license and verification of car insurance for business use under your name or willing to obtain are required.
- A current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check is required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Bilingual in French or other languages is an asset.
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset and may be required, as applicable per program requirements.

Full Time salary ranges from $50,000 annually for Youth Coaches, immediate Employee Assistance Program, and supplementary Health and Dental benefits with six months of service completion. Travel reimbursement $0.64/KM.

Requirements – you must have:
- Completion of post-secondary education and a minimum of 2 years of experience in, preferably Data and Information Systems or a related field
- Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with strong writing and editorial abilities
- Deep familiarity and working experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Advance level of Excel, internet, wire services, media monitoring software, and other public relation tools
- High level precision and data intelligence. Ability to articulate technical data quality gaps to non technical operational functions for data validation and auditing, anomaly identification and database correction.
- Demonstrated experience and success working on the digital platforms such as Google, X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and others
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, often pressured environment and see a project through to completion
- Must be able to multitasked to complete assignments with accuracy and effectiveness within set time frame
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a team
- Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality and uphold Privacy Act
- The ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all levels of employees is critical
- A current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Basic scripting capability using Python is an asset.
